Monday Deadline for TCAC Docs

When the Tax Credit Allocation Committee (TCAC) announced it would conduct a single competitive funding round for 9% and 4%-plus-state credit applications in April, they agreed to allow some documents to be submitted after the application deadline. Specifically, applicants could submit public funding awards, evidence of entitlements and local approvals, including environmental approvals by August 17, 2009. Entitlement and environmental approvals include the expiration of any appeal periods and resolution of any issues by that same date. Applicants are reminded that TCAC must receive on or before 4 p.m. Monday proof of committed local funding, entitlements, and complete environmental approvals. For the TCAC advisory, click here.

Roundtable Focuses on Water Issues

"Water -- The New Oil: Upcoming Challenges and Ideas" is the topic for the next Affordable Housing Roundtable scheduled Thursday, September 3 at the NTC Command Center.  Registration and breakfast begin at 7:30 a.m. and the program will be from 8 to 10 a.m.

Two panels are planned plus ample time for audience questions. One panel will cover suggestions for realistic and WaterWise landscaping and domestic water conservation.  The other will focus on the mandatory water submetering program being developed for new multifamily housing in the City of San Diego. The Roundtable is sponsored by Hitzke Development Corporation and will be moderated by Mary Jane Jagodzinski, Community HousingWorks, who has designed the panels.
