Two Cities Receive CalHFA HELP Financing

The California Housing Finance Agency’s (CalHFA) Housing Enabled by Local Partnerships (HELP) Program has awarded the City of San Diego Redevelopment Agency (RDA) $1.25 million to augment its existing Affordable Housing Collaborative Program (NOFA) and the City of Escondido $1.25 million to assist with site acquisition for the development of affordable rental housing. These are loan funds that are offered by CalHFA at 3% interest. San Diego County received 25% of the funds allocated statewide.

SANDAG Supports Prop 1C

This morning the Board of Directors of the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) voted unanimously, with one Supervisor Bill Horn abstaining, to support Rebuilding California infrastructure package, Proposition 1A thru 1E, on the November ballot. Bill Horn abstained because the Board of Supervisors has not endorsed any of the bond initiatives to date.
