Housing Infrastructure Bond
Needs Your Help
The negotiations on what will and will not be
included in a statewide infrastructure bond package (s) are heating up in
Sacramento. It is VITAL that all legislators hear from as many of their
constituents as possible about the need to include funds to extend the
Proposition 46 funding.
Late this afternoon the SANDAG Board
of Directors presented their priorities to Senators Ducheny and Kehoe and
Assembly members Saldaña and Plescia. Housing was
not included on their main priority list, however, it was listed as a Tier 2
priority.
All members STRONGLY URGED to send letters to
their California legislators requesting that they include $1.4 billion in any
infrastructure bond to continue the success that Proposition 46 has had in the
County.
A Fact Sheet with talking points and draft
letters with San Diego County specific data are available at http://housingsandiego.org/Advocacy.php in the State section.
