Most Prop 1C Bills Delayed Until 2008

Legislation which would have put in place implementing appropriations and regulations for Prop 1C housing funds failed to move to the Governor this week. Work on the 1C bills will continue through the fall to ready them for passage in 2008.  Of the 1C funds requiring appropriation or implementing legislation, only the $300 million for infrastructure and brownfields remediation and $95 million for transit-oriented development survived the week's testy negotiations.

The Federation Office will be closed Monday, September 3 for the      Labor Day Holiday
