Density Bonus to be
Continued Again

continue consideration of the Density Bonus ordinance currently scheduled for
the March 27th Council Meeting. Questions remain regarding how much control
the City can have over the granting of the requested density bonuses and the
additional incentives and concessions.
Sacramento
News
Next Tuesday, Senate Transportation and Housing
will hear two major bills, SB 303 (Ducheny, D-San Diego), which substantially
rewrites housing element law to require cities to plan for 20 years of growth,
and SB 2 (Cedillo, D-Los Angeles), which requires "by right" zoning for
homeless shelters. The San Diego Housing Federation supports
both of these bills.
