On Wednesday, December 13, 2017, National Community Renaissance and the City of Oceanside formally opened the doors to a new affordable housing community! December’s grand opening celebrated the completion of the first phase of Mission Cove, which now includes 90 quality affordable apartment homes.

While these Mission Cove homes were opened to families, seniors, veterans, and transitional age youth last December, the community will eventually boast 288 rental units. Mission Cove will further be a great resource for its new community members as it will also feature the Kay Parker Family Resource Center: the Center will provide onsite programs and preschool for around 50 children, allow for plenty of outdoor exercise with a perimeter walking path and outside exercise equipment, and include solar thermal water heating, 10,500 square feet of retail, commercial, and office space, as well as playgrounds for kids. We’re looking forward to watching the community grow as more and more quality affordable homes become available to local residents.
