Reflecting on a Day of Connection and Celebration with SDHF - Annual Meeting & Mixer Recap

Yesterday marked a significant day for the San Diego Housing Federation as we came together virtually for our Annual Membership Meeting and later in the evening in person for our first Member Mixer of 2024.

Our day began with the SDHF Annual Member Meeting, held via Zoom to allow as many members as possible to attend. From 9 to 10AM, approximately 40 individuals joined in to reflect on the achievements of our organization in 2023 and to look forward to the exciting prospects ahead. Each staff member took the floor, sharing insights into their respective areas of work and the impactful initiatives and programs they contributed to throughout the year. It was inspiring to witness the collective dedication that drove our organization forward, even in the face of challenges.

One of the highlights of the meeting was the unveiling of our 2023 Impact Report, which showcased the remarkable strides we made. From impactful program work to community outreach initiatives, the report underscored the tangible difference SDHF and its members are making in the realm of affordable housing. Moreover, we had the opportunity to share exclusive insights into the future plans of our organization, setting the stage for another year of progress and collaboration.

As the sun set on the day, we transitioned from the virtual sphere to a more tangible setting for our first Mixer of 2024. Hosted at the Original 40 Brewing Company in North Park, the Member Reception & Mixer provided a space for connection, laughter, and community-building. Professionals from various sectors and organizations mingled, exchanging ideas and forging new partnerships in the shared pursuit of affordable housing solutions. Whether long-time members or newcomers curious about our cause, all were welcomed to network and enjoy the evening.

With each meeting, mixer, and event, we reaffirm our commitment to creating a future where safe, affordable housing is accessible to all. Together, we are not just building houses; we are building homes and communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Here's to another year of impact, connection, and progress with SDHF. Thank you to all who participated, and we look forward to what the future holds for us all!
