Aging 101: Training for Homelessness Service Providers

Aging & Independence Services, a division of the County of San Diego, Health and Human Services Agency has developed an Aging 101 training in partnership with the Regional Task Force on Homelessness and Serving Seniors. The overall goal of the training is to provide foundational knowledge for homeless service and housing providers on aging issues and the available programs and services to help serve older adults in our community. The workshop will provide initial, introductory education on the unique needs of older adults and the resources available to them, including information on home delivered meals, CalFresh, APS, IHSS, Case Management Services, and other community resources including utility assistance, legal aid, and transportation resources.
