Wrapping up 2021 HEAL Training Series!

North County HEAL cohort has completed its 6-week training, concluding the series with a meeting with Councilmember Contreras and Councilmember Melendez. This group is comprised of women from Vista, San Marcos, Oceanside, San Diego, and La Mesa, who have experienced homelessness. The group enjoyed in depth discussion on the County’s political landscape, explored new policy ideas for advocacy, and practiced telling their stories. This month the groups will engage in advocacy opportunities, starting with a feedback session with the San Diego Housing Commission, providing input on the community action plan.
